Getting Around

Getting Around

As parking in downtown Santa Fe can be limited, we encourage attendees to stay at the featured hotels and walk to the daily conference sessions. Attendees staying at hotels in the immediate downtown areas will be able to easily access all activities and events by foot and will not require a car during the Conference. Shuttle service is available to and from both the Albuquerque and Santa Fe airports (see above).

Downtown Santa Fe is full of museums and attractions you can explore on foot, though some popular destinations are located at the edges of town. Visit Santa Fe provides a Free Santa Fe Pick-up Shuttle that runs between the Historic Plaza, Museum Hill, Canyon Road and the Railyard; hours of operation, schedules and route maps can be found online. Or, use your smartphone to arrange for a ride via Lyft or Uber!

If you plan to head out and explore New Mexico, rental cars are available in downtown Santa Fe, at the Santa Fe Airport and at the Albuquerque Airport.

Driving Directions and Parking

For attendees who will be driving to the conference each day: parking is available in the Convention Center garage for $10 per day (no in/out privileges). Look for the garage entrance on S. Federal Place (see map, lot C). Plan to pay upon entering.

The Convention Center’s address is 201 W. Marcy Street. The address for the Convention Center’s Parking Garage is 119 S. Federal Place.

Weather and Altitude

Santa Fe Weather

Santa Fe is typically very clear, sunny and dry. In early March, temperatures can range from 45-55 degrees F in the day, with lows ranging from 24-28 degrees F overnight. We recommend dressing in layers to stay comfortable, outside and inside.

Located at over 7,000 feet above sea level, Santa Fe is a high-altitude destination. Staying well-hydrated and moderating your alcohol intake can help make for an easier adjustment. Learn more.

While the large majority of visitors are not bothered by the altitude, people with certain pre- existing medical conditions, such as heart disease, lung disease and sickle cell disease, should talk to their doctor before traveling to Santa Fe.
